The factory will be built in an industrial park in Rayong province with an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles, according to a joint statement issued by BYD and WHA. The company signed a land purchase agreement with WHA on Thursday.
The Thai plant is expected to start production in 2024 and will produce right-hand drive models, which will be exported to Southeast Asia and Europe.
